Open access and amazing images

Wellcome Images have released thousands of images for Creative Commons use, which already has generated excitement from groups of  creatives  and teachers . I am a massive open source nerd/supporter/cheerleader (and linux user) because I believe making knowledge more widely available is the right thing to do. Isn’t that a no-brainer in the Wikipedia age? Having said that, the logistics of open sourcing is less clear cut. deciding who pays for distribution and production of open source material and fair attribution of creators is where it gets trickier- we don’t have all of the solutions yet.

Regardless, there are some amazing images that anyone will now be able to use. In celebration, I had a little look through the collection and picked out some gems to share with you all.
